July is Disabilities Pride Month
Disability Pride Month is celebrated every July and is an opportunity to honor the history, achievements, experiences, and struggles of the disability community. Why July? It marks the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), landmark legislation signed into law on July 26, 1990 that broke down barriers to inclusion in society.

We want our community to join in the conversation! If you, a family member, or friend has a disability….what would you like to tell people without disabilities about your hopes and dreams? What do you wish you could say to people without disabilities to drive positive change in your life and the life of our community to create inclusion? Email us with photos, videos, or written answers. We’d like to share your stories in July!
