Pedestrian Safety Art Contest

Open to Youth Grades K-12, May 20 through July 5, 2023

Everyone on our roads has a responsibility to help keep each other safe. The Look Out Asotin County Pedestrian Safety Art Contest presented by Unleashed Marketing + Design invites students to use their creativity to raise awareness of how to stay safe on the road, particularly when driving, biking, rolling or walking in our community. Kids are invited to get creative and submit artwork best depicting how all road users - from cars, to bikers, to rollers, to pedestrians - can stay safe abiding by traffic safety laws. Creative submissions may be hand-drawn art, digital art, or craft. Look Out Asotin County will announce the winner(s) in Summer 2023. The 2023 contest is open May 20, 2023 through July 5, 2023 – enter today!

Grand Prize winners are awarded in four categories:

  • Category 1: Grades K-2
  • Category 2: Grades 3-5
  • Category 3: Grades 6-8
  • Category 4: Grades 9-12

All winners will receive a prize, framed copy of their artwork and an award certificate. Artwork will also be featured as part of our:

  • Winner Announcement on Social Media
  • Look Out Asotin County Webpages
  • Social Media and Print Campaign Giving Recognition to Artist(s)

How to Enter

1) Create Your Pedestrian Safety Artwork

Hand-drawn art, digital art or craft.

2) Take a Photo of Your Artwork

Make sure to save the original, if you win we'd like to professionally photograph it!

3) Email* the Photo to lookout@co.asotin.wa.us

Include name, grade and phone number (so we can contact you if you win).

*By emailing your photo, you are giving us permission to post it to the Look Out Asotin County Facebook and Instagram pages and use for promotion. Contest ends July 5, 2023. This safety enhancement project is sponsored by the Washington Traffic Safety Commission to raise awareness of truly dangerous conditions for pedestrians who need to cross busy, open roadways.
