Artist Selected for Traffic Safety Mural
Look Out Asotin County panel selects artist for traffic safety mural
A panel recently reviewed submissions for the traffic safety mural to be located on the corner of Fifth St and Poplar in Clarkston and selected Jeff Karlin’s concept.
Karlin is a teacher (Physics, Astronomy, Physical Geology, Biology, Marine Biology & Zoology) at Lewiston High School as well as a sculptor, painter, musician, and children’s book author/illustrator.
His concept depicts the culture and diversity of Clarkston citizens as they walk through a crosswalk. Work on the mural is expected to start at the beginning of June and be complete by July.
The mural is funded through the Washington Traffic Safety Commission’s Look Out Asotin County Pedestrian Safety Grant.
Stay tuned and we’ll keep you updated on the progress here!
